Overheard Weekly

The submission deadlines for the next 21 days, the calls that opened this week, and the unreleased games the most Twitch streamers played. One e-mail on Tuesday, about five minutes to read.

Sign-ups open with the first issue. Until then the same deadlines are in the calendar.

What is in an issue

  • Closing soon. Festivals, showcases, awards, Steam events and funds whose deadline is in the next three weeks, earliest first, with the fee and the time zone the organiser gives.
  • Newly open. Calls that opened since the last issue, and ones we just added to the calendar.
  • Rising this week. The unreleased games whose Twitch category had the most different channels, with the counts and the week before. It starts once we have published a few weeks of the list.
  • Sponsored. At most one main and two short sponsored messages, always marked. Sponsors never get your address.

Every date links to its calendar entry, and from there to the organiser's own page, checked on the day shown.

Your address

You sign up with your e-mail and confirm it with a link we e-mail you. We use the address, and the date and wording of your consent, only to send this newsletter; Loops sends it for us. If you also tell us whether you make games or work for a company that works with studios, that answer, the page you came from and the campaign tags in its address are only counted in totals, and you can object to that. We don't track who opens an issue or clicks a link. Every issue has an unsubscribe link. Privacy

Past issues

No issue has gone out yet. The archive keeps every issue on the web.

For companies

The readers are people who make and publish small games. Sponsoring an issue opens once the list has 300 confirmed readers.
