Sponsor Overheard Weekly
A Tuesday e-mail for people who make and publish small games: the submission deadlines of the next three weeks, calls that just opened and the unreleased games rising on Twitch. Each issue carries one main sponsor and up to two short ones, marked as sponsored.
The list today
- Confirmed readers
- not counted yet
- Delivered per issue, last 4 issues
- -
The numbers appear after the first issue. We don't track who opens or clicks. Your link carries utm_source=overheard-weekly, so your own analytics shows the visits it brings.
How a slot works
- You pay for a slot. You don't pick the week: you get the next issue with a free slot, in order of payment, so two sponsors never get the same one.
- You send the copy through a short form: a headline of up to 60 characters, two sentences and a link (a short slot is one linked line).
- We check it against the rules below. Copy we can't run, or no approved copy by 14:00 UTC 3 days before the issue, means a full refund within 14 days and the slot goes back.
- Within 7 days of the issue we tell you how many readers it was delivered to. Visits from your link show in your own analytics.
- Main slot. One per issue: a headline of up to 60 characters, two sentences and a link, in its own block marked Sponsored.
- Short slot. Up to two per issue: one line with a link, marked Sponsored.
Prices
The price follows the size of the list on the day you buy. Slots go on sale at 300 confirmed readers. Prices in USD before VAT; the checkout shows the final amount, with VAT where it applies.
| List size | Main slot | Short slot |
|---|---|---|
| Under 1,000 readers | $100 | $40 |

What you can promote
- Tools, engines, middleware and services for people who make games: QA, localisation, porting, art, audio, PR and marketing.
- Festivals, showcases, awards, funds and accelerators that small studios can apply to.
- Publishers with a public way to pitch them.
- Courses, books and communities for game developers.
What we don't run
- Gambling, casinos, loot-box or skin trading, and betting.
- Crypto, NFTs, tokens and play-to-earn.
- "AI publishers" and any service that promises coverage, wishlists, reviews, followers or streams for money.
- Anything that breaks Steam's, Twitch's or another platform's rules.
- Adult content.
Sponsors never get readers' addresses or anything about a single reader, only the issue's totals.
Slots are not on sale yet
Slots open when the list has 300 confirmed readers. Until then we'd rather not sell reach we don't have.
A “notify me” form opens before slots go on sale.
What readers get: Overheard Weekly, built from the calendar.
